Biogas Purification & Bio-CNG - FAQ

Circular economy in energy systems with waste-to-energy plants converting organic waste into electricity and heat for urban areas.

Find answers to common questions about biogas upgrading, purification technologies, and Bio-CNG production. Our systems are designed for efficiency, reliability, and long-term industrial performance.

Biogas upgrading is the process of removing impurities such as CO₂, H₂S, and moisture from raw biogas to increase methane concentration. The upgraded gas can be used as Bio-CNG for fuel or industrial applications.
Hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) is corrosive and can damage compressors, pipelines, and engines. Removing H₂S improves equipment life, enhances safety, and ensures better gas quality.
In water scrubbing, biogas is compressed and passed through water where CO₂ dissolves while methane remains in the gas phase. This increases methane purity without using chemicals.
Water scrubber and amine scrubber technologies are widely preferred due to higher methane recovery, stable performance, and lower long-term operational costs compared to PSA systems.
Depending on the technology used, methane purity can range from 92% to 99%, making it suitable for Bio-CNG bottling and industrial fuel applications.
Yes, our systems are fully customizable based on feedstock type, plant capacity, and project requirements, ensuring optimal performance and ROI.
